Congratulations to Yara Odeh, who presented her project proposal at the Society for Neurobiology of Language conference in Philadelphia today! Her work, that focuses on the neural mechanisms of executive function in Bilinguals with ADHD, was presented in the Sandbox Series at SNL. Check out her poster HERE. Dr. Pierce recently presented work on advanced methods in infant neuroscience at the International Congress of Infant Studies (ICIS) in Ottawa. Check out a pdf of her poster HERE.

Ana Badal, a master’s student and recent addition to the lab has been awarded the OGS (Ontario Graduate Scholarship)!

We are excited to announce that Dr. Pierce has been awarded an NSERC Discovery Grant! Research supported by this grant will explore how early life stress and socioeconomic variability influence the nature of children’s early language environment and their early brain development. We will further test how these variables interact to support language learning. We are so grateful for the opportunity to conduct this exciting new research!
